Boundaries

Boundaries
Cincinnati Doula + Herbalist

I receive many emails and messages from people asking for information, and I spend a significant amount of time (sometimes, very literally, hours a day) replying. I've shared guidance and almost never ask for anything in return. I truly appreciate when people trust me enough to reach out and ask. There's little I love doing more than offering information, wisdom, and advice.

One thing that I do love more, though, is my own family.  Providing for them emotionally and financially are my upmost importance. And this means that I need to be mindful about the way I spend my time and energy.

And not only is my time valuable, but my knowledge is too. I'm a part of memberships, I upkeep certifications, and I'm always continuing my education. I have invested energy, education, and finances into my knowledge.

bound·a·ry bound(ə)rē/ noun

  1. a line that marks the limits of an area; a dividing line.

I'm at a point in my journey where I need to place down boundaries.

I am a person.
I am a mother.
I am a wife.
I am a student.
I am a heart-centered service provider.

So, I can no longer spend my extra time offering complimentary consultations.

Going forward, I will be offering even more free resources than I have currently have available. It's all about sharing information on IG, building the blog, answering community questions here, and more. But this also means that one-on-one consultations will no longer be without repayment.

If you are looking for individual guidance, I simply ask that you respect my boundaries and understand that I do deserve to be paid for my time and offerings. I also host community workshops, where I invite you join if it's about a topic you're interested in learning.

Thank you.
